009_img_3418Many thanks to the 200 guests who came along to our annual Snowball – we are delighted to announce that the 2011 gala dinner raised over £15,000 for the Children’s Burns Foundation. This means that so many worthwhile projects can now be funded in the year ahead – from places at Burns Camps and day activities to research projects and equipment to support the work of the staff who work with young burn-injured people in the region.

050_img_3530We must thank the group of amazing Volunteer Fundraisers who worked so hard to make the evening a huge success – everyone enjoyed the amazing venue, gorgeous food and great entertainment. Many thanks also to Gemma Clayton of Exposure Photography, who captured the whole evening for us. You can see some of the photos below or the whole album here. Are we doing it all again this December? You bet!

We’re always delighted to hear good news when industries take steps forward to reduce the risk of burn injuries to children and young people. This is an excellent move and hopefully will have a significant impact on the number of people affected.
safety_sign38Meanwhile, as the nights draw in as Autumn approaches and families everywhere begin thinking about keeping their homes warm, let’s hope that everyone remembers that prevention is the best way to keep our younger ones safe.

We’re always delighted to work closely with organisations such as the British Burn Association when they are running one of their excellent campaigns – it’s so important to keep the message going to help reduce the number of children and young people who are accidentally injured each day.
