Dr Sarah Gaskell,

Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Children’s Burns Foundation

Sarah is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who has worked at Royal Children's Hospital in Manchester since 1997. She is Head of Paediatric Psychology Services and her clinical work includes providing a psychological service to the Regional Paediatric Burns Service in Manchester.

Sarah works closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide psychological support and therapy to burn-injured children and their families at all stages following the injury, and she is also Director of Manchester Children's Burns Camp. Her extensive experience within paediatric burns rehabilitation has resulted in her involvement in a number of national and international projects, including the development of paediatric psychosocial rehabilitation services for burn-injured children in Russia and a therapeutic family weekend programme for parents of children who have recently suffered a major burn injury.
