Fundraising through Footie!

If you happen to be in the Bristol area on March 13th and want
to support the Children’s Burns Foundation then you can be
guaranteed a great day and night out courtesy of Sean Lenegan,
who is the son of our Trustee Dave.

Sean has organised a football tournament for teams from afar
as Wigan, London, Bristol and Hereford, taking place at the Goals
Soccer Centre, Stoke Gifford, in Bristol. With a kick-off at 1pm it
promises to be three hours of good, competitive fun!

From 7pm celebrations will continue at The Bishops on
Cheltenham Road, Bristol where local bands The Exiles and
Let’s Tea Party will provide music to dance the night away to!

Sean is hoping that the day will raise over £750 on total but if
you want to find out more about either event so that you can
help raise that amount even higher then he can be contacted
at sean.lenegan@googlemail.com

After a successful night in June, The PitZ are back playing at the Corbans Gallery in Hale Barns.

This is a charity event and all monies raised will go to the Children's Burns Foundation.

Donations on the night or tickets can be obtained in advance. Donation of £5 includes finger buffet.

Alternatively you can donate online through the justgiving website - www.justgiving.com/mcbf-pitz/

Snowball 08

Snowball 08 saw 250 supporters of the charity gather at the Midland Hotel in Manchester for an evening of fine dining and entertainment from Stagecoach Theatre and Arts, Disco Daze and DJ Monkey Man. Patrons Carly Stenson, of Hollyoaks fame, Barry Dixon, County Fire Officer of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and Peter Davenport, Consultant Burns and Plastic Surgeon were all there to support the cause.

The Ball raised around £10k.

How else can you help raise money for the
Children’s Burns Foundation?

Our talented and imaginative supporters work hard to make sure
that the Children’s Burns Foundation can continue to support the
recovery and rehabilitation of burn-injured children from across
the North West

If you’re already taking part in a sporting event such as the Great Manchester Run, a parachute jump or a Three Peaks challenge,
then raising money for the Foundation has never been easier. All you need to do is create your own online sponsorship page
through justgiving.com!

You then e-mail it to your family and friends and ask them to donate quickly and easily via the secure website using their debit or
credit card.

Justgiving will automatically add the Gift Aid tax benefit for eligible donors and the money raised will be sent direct to the
Children’s Burns Foundation.

Shake, rattle and roll!

Strictly speaking, you’re not allowed to rattle collecting tins but you know what we mean!

Do you own a shop or pub where we could place a collecting tin so your customers can easily donate their spare change for the Foundation?

A special celebration?

Birthday presents or anniversary gifts are always lovely to receive – but sometimes we already have everything we need. Asking friends and family to donate to the Children’s Burns Foundation instead of buying a present is a thoughtful way of sharing your good fortune with us. Just let the office know what you’re planning and we’ll keep an eye out for those extra-special donations – we’ll let you know too how much has been raised from your celebration.
